Three easy nail art tutorials

There are many nail art designs and tutorials online, which can get your attention. Some of them are pretty simple and can be done by beginners, while others require some experience. In this post, we will show you three easy-to-do nail art designs with pictures and videos.

Galaxy nail art. To create this design, you will need a base coat, a topcoat, black, dark blue, purple, white and glitter nail polish, makeup sponges and toothpicks. First, apply the base coat and when it’s dry, paint your nails black. Wait for the black coat to dry. Then, put some dark blue nail polish on the sponge and sponge it across your nails. Next, apply some of the purple polish on a different section of the sponge and sponge on the blue sections of your nails. Be careful not to cover it all up. Then, do this with the white polish. Since you need only a small amount of white on your nails, dab the sponge on a sheet of paper first, so there isn’t as much polish on it. Concentrate on the middle of the purple areas. After you’re done, use the toothpick to make some white dots for stars. Apply a coat of glitter nail polish. Then, apply the top coat to seal the nail art design and you’re done.

Gradient nail art. To create this nail art design, you will need two nail polishes – one light and white dark color, a base coat, a top coat, a sponge, a plastic sheet and toothpicks. You can choose two shades of some color, complimenting colors or contrasting colors. Start by applying the base coat and when it dries, paint your nails with the lighter of the two colors you’ve selected. Wait until it’s completely dry. Take your plastic sheet and spread a generous amount of the two nail polishes right next to each other. They should be touching at the edges. Then, with a toothpick swirl the two colors together. Take the sponge and dab it a few times directly down on the polish. After that, dab the sponge on your nails. Keep dabbing very lightly. You can do this as many times as you need to. Before you sponge a new layer, make sure the last layer is completely dry. Otherwise, you’ll smudge the underneath layers and ruin the nail art design. Finish with two or three layers of topcoat. The sponging makes this nail art design quite bumpy, which is why one layer of topcoat won’t do.

Tie dye nail art. To create this nail art design, you will need a few nail polishes, a medium-size dotting tool, toothpicks or a straight pin, a base coat and a topcoat. Start by applying a base coat and painting your nails with a color of your choice. Then, take a medium-size dotting tool and create half a circle on one nail with another color nail polish. Next, take a toothpick or a straight pin and drag random lines form the line you’ve just created. Take your dotting tool again and create another half a circle with another color. Use the toothpick to drag more lines from it to the previous color. Repeat the process, alternating the two colors, until you’re happy with the nail art design. Let all the layers dry and seal the nail art design with a topcoat.
