Applying makeup is an exceptional way to enhance your natural beauty. Learn how to apply makeup like a professional to bring out your internal beauty or simply augment your stunning eyes. We will give you some tips how to be a real head turner when you go for a night out with your friends.
When you are preparing for a night out, start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Make sure you don’t have any residual makeup. If your skin is dry, use some moisturizer, but avoid the eyelids. Begin by applying primer. It will even out your skin tone and give the makeup something to stick to. For the area around the eyes, apply concealer to hide the dark circles under the eyes or any other spots and blemishes you might have. Use your fingers or a concealer brush to spread it evenly and remove any excess. To set the concealer, brush a flesh-toned powder over it. Apply some of the powder to your eyelids too.
The next step is to apply the eye-shadow. You can use one or several colors. We will give you an example with three tones – light, medium and darker. First, apply the medium tone to your eyelids. Then apply the light tone to your brow bone to highlight this area. The brow bone sits a little beneath the eyebrows. To make more light bounce off of this area, brush some pearly, light color that matches the tone of the eyelids. Apply the darker color on the crease of your eyes. Using light strokes, start from the outer corners and follow the arch about 2/3 of the way toward the inner corner of your eye. Blend the colors with a brush, so that there are no harsh lines. The secret to any makeup style is to blend the colors properly. This creates a more natural look. After you are done with the eye-shadows, apply the eyeliner. You can use liquid eyeliner, or pencil eyeliner. Just move across the lash line in tiny, gentle strokes. Finally, curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and apply mascara. Start at the base of your eyelashes and slowly sweep upward.
When you are done with the makeup, finish the look, applying a little blush. Just smile and start the application at the apples of your cheeks, dragging toward the temples, following your cheekbones. The color should be fading out a bit. Keep in mind that your cheeks should have just a hint of color, you don’t want to look like a clown. Blend everything together with a fluffy powder brush. Finally, we would suggest to use light, natural looking lip gloss.
Don’t rely on makeup to make you beautiful. Real beauty comes from within. Our advice is to stick to more natural looking colors that just enhance your good looks. Makeup, just like everything else, should be used in moderation.
